If you’d only known…
You don’t really understand the tech behind it. You never were the best student, and advanced astro-physics, exo-biochemistry, and quantum computing were all courses you were lucky to pass. You don’t know how it works, but you do know how to use it. Snap the goggles on, hold on for the shock of the boot sequence, and then bam. You’re there. The Realms. But something just does not feel quite right. Is this a game? Is this real? Is this something in between?
Alliance says it’s simply their best game ever, and that’s all that matters to you. You’re here to do your part and guide your squad to victory. It’ll take quick reflexes and a keen eye to keep your targets in sight, especially when the clones look exactly like you.
Mrs. Sly
A crack shot, but even better at cracking jokes.
Don’t let her small size and big eyes fool you. Ms. Sly is quick, a sharpshooter, and smarter than most people give her credit for. Born on the edges of the galaxy, she’s spent her whole life fighting for what she needs, and what she needs now is to take down her opponents, one by one. Make sure you’re keeping your eyes up and moving, or she’ll slip in before you know it. By then, it’ll be too late.
Hard to predict, Ms. Sly is precise on the battlefield but a prankster with her squad. She’s the youngest on the team, but no one gets the chance to underestimate her twice. She keeps them on their toes, while also watching their backs through thick and thin.
Quentin
The look of a Professor. The brain of a Special Operator.
Maybe it’s the circuitry. Maybe it’s the programming. He was, after all, built this way. But Quentin likes to think that there’s something special about him, something unique to his makeup that’s put him above the rest. He sees things that others don’t. Figures things out quicker. His brain, a mix of mechanics and biochemistry, runs faster than others. Being a cyborg isn’t easy, but it has its perks.
The mastermind of the squad, Quentin is the one with the plans. He figures out angles of attack, knows how to infiltrate enemy defenses, and is the first to find a way out of any bad situation. The rest of the squad may not like him all that much, but they trust him to know how to get in, get the job done, and get out without a scratch.
Trinity
The face of a fairy. The heart of a Warrior.
Light on her feet, Trinity knows how to move across a battlefield. Most people underestimate her. They see her young face, her girly clothes, and they figure she’s an easy target. Far from it, though. She uses her agility and nimble feet to step in and out of cover like a ballerina.
Better take careful aim, and make sure you lead your target, because this girl will be out of the line of fire as soon as you blink. And keep your back to a wall, too, because she’s just as likely to slip behind you like a breeze you never felt coming.
AwareWolf
Eyes and ears. Your communication and your computers. The Wolf is always Aware.
You know how you sometimes pick a handle and it just sticks? AwareWolf never expected his to be like that, but, well…Here we are.
More comfortable behind a monitor than holding a gun, Wolf is one of the best hackers in the Realms. There isn’t a data center he can’t access, no firewall he can’t breach. If he knows your machine’s address, it’s already too late. Even in battle, he can hack into the local systems to give his squad an edge. Wolf is an invaluable asset, even if he’s always secretly changing your passwords and hacking your social media.
Dominique
Loves to see things go BOOM
Maybe it’s shell shock. Maybe she’s just wired wrong. Either way don’t ask Dominique whether to cut the green wire or the blue? She’ll tell you to cut the red one so the bomb counts down faster.
She’s a master of demolition and not afraid to get her hands dirty when it comes to making a mess. She can rig anything to blow, even Goliath. But don’t think she’s all about the boom. Dominique is as quick with her brains as she is with her bombs. She knows exactly where to put her devices so they do the most damage, and she’s smart enough to stay well out of the blast radius. And don’t let her fashion sense fool you: those glasses may look cool, but they’re for her protection. You can’t ever be too careful around explosives or Dominique; she is always ready to Send It!
Goliath
General Operations Light Infantry Automated Tactical Hub
G is not built for speed. He’s not built to sneak into places. He was built for one thing and one thing only: to get hit and keep going. His armor plated body is meant to take damage, and boy, does he. A walking, talking, nearly impenetrable shield, he is the first line of defense—and the best offense. With the rest of the squad behind him, GOLIATH leads the charge and keeps going when other military robots fail.
Just keep him away from the local fauna. Something must have gotten through all that metal and scrambled his circuits, because GOLIATH is fascinated by flowers. Whether that’s a bug or a feature is up to you to decide. Still, he can make a pretty good bouquet if you ask him, though you should probably wait until after the blasters stop firing.
